Senior pet care

As we enter our twilight years, our body and brain begins to change. Whether these changes are in the nutrition we need, aches and pains, or the development of some diseases, Dr Andrew can help maintain or improve your pet's quality of life with your help.

Cognitive Decline (Alzheimer's syndrome/dementia)

Animals may become confused, be restless, have disrupted sleep or just not quite be themselves anymore. Helping your pet navigate cognitive decline can be as simple as some changes to their diet, or some minor alterations to their home environment. Alternatively, some medication and western herbal remedies may assist them to age more gracefully.

Stiffness and Soreness

It is common knowledge that as we age we start to lose muscle tone and flexibility, and many pets also develop arthritis. All of these things can be managed holistically and give your pet significant improvements in their twilight years.

Palliative Care

At its core, palliative care is simply maintaining the best quality of life as possible. Dr Andrew believes that every day we wake up, we try to have the best day we possibly can. This is the same for pets. Regardless of if your pet has a terminal disease, or is just accumulating the effects of old age we can do our best to help them have more good days than bad days.
